I've been noticing something about Portuguese lately that I find very beautiful. When speaking about a noun in general, it is often used in the singular and without an article. For example, in English we would say "Cats are good for sleeping with." In Portuguese you could say: "Gato é bom para dormir junto." I love how you just say "gato"--I love the way the noun stands out.
